Volume reduction and cellulite

Women’s bodies have certain “difficult” areas such as the “saddlebags” or the abdomen, cellulite tends to set in and it is hard to reduce the volume with diet or exercise. There are several techniques for volume and cellulite reduction.

The best results are obtained when combined circuits are prepared using different techniques depending on each patient, the type of cellulite present and its severity. In this way, the desired goals are achieved: volume reduction, improvement in the cellulite and reduction in flaccidity.

When cellulite appears in the body it gradually gets worse over time, potentially causing unaesthetic alterations on the skinl.

At the level of the buttocks and thighs, 3 stages of cellulite are distinguished:

  • Oedematous:
Viscous or pasty in consistency with nodules. Painful to touch and sometimes spontaneously accompanied by signs and symptoms typical of chronic venous insufficiency, such as varicose veins, a sense of heaviness, etc. It usually affects the whole leg, taking on the typical appearance of a column leg.
  • Soft:
Of soft consistency, no usually painful, often accompanied by atrophied muscle, and basically located on the inner face of the thighs and arms. It tends to be more frequent in middle-aged women.
  • Compact or hard:
The consistency is hard to the touch, normally appearing on the outside of the thighs, commonly referred to as “saddlebags”, and on the inside of the knees. It tends to predominate n younger women.

Clínica Londres can provide you with advanced treatments in cosmetic medicine that will help you combat cellulite effectively:

Mesotherapy

This involves applying infiltrations of homeopathic substances, essential amino acids, vitamins, trace elements and low-density hyaluronic acid, in other words, totally natural products without any side effects. Mesotherapy is indicated for the treatment of localized adipose tissues as it stimulates the metabolism and helps to dissolve this fat and improves the skin’s vascularization, reducing the fibrosis typical of cellulite and smoothing the skin’s appearance.

Endermologie (LPG)

This involves applying a microprocessor on the skin to perform an automatic non-invasive massage that sucks on the skin, favouring circulation, activating the elimination of any retained fluids, and stimulating the metabolism to help eliminate fat. This reaffirms and tones up the skin and diminishes the orange-peel effect. In addition, its exfoliating effect brings back the skins glossiness and tonicity.

Presotherapy

This is based on the application of a massage using controlled pressure on different parts of the body. This enables the stimulation of the lymphatic system and the venous return flow, thus improving the swelling caused by retention of fluids and creating a sensation of lightness on the area treated. This technique corrects the alterations in the circulatory system and substantially improves the tired legs syndrome.

Cavitation

This is a process caused by low-frequency ultrasounds to stimulate the formation of steam bubbles inside a liquid. The pressure exerted by the bubbles causes implosion, releasing energy that destroys adipose cells with the subsequent transformation of fat into a liquid substance (diglyceride) that will be eliminated through the lymphatic system and the urine. We use equipment approved by the FDA and with CE marking.

Radiofrequency (ACCENT, RADAR 10)

This is based on the application of ultrasounds that stimulate the heating up of the adipose tissue and the dermis. This heating up facilitates the elimination of fluids, toxins and improves the metabolism as it stimulates the circulation in the area treated, thus bringing about a reduction in volume and a significant improvement in the sin in terms of flexibility and firmness. Its main indication is for cellulite and flaccidity (in both the face and the body). From 4 to 6 sessions per area are needed to obtain an optimal result that is visible from the first session.

Electrotherapy

This involves applying frequency currents that cause a muscle contraction and stimulate the metabolism in those areas cellulite, flaccidity and oedemas tend to accumulate.
